The Strand Theatre located in Moundsville, West
Virginia was built in 1920 as a Vaudeville Theatre and served as a
venue for live plays, films, and variety shows. It features an
orchestra pit and many beautiful examples of turn of the century
architecture. The Strand served the public by bringing
culture, entertainment, and the silver screen.
The Strand Theatre Preservation Society was formed to
take on the challenge of restoring this grand facility. Once
completed, the Strand Theatre will enable both young and old an
opportunity to be exposed to the arts with a chance to look into the
past through the preservation of a structure that brings with it a
rich history.
Your continued support is invaluable in this effort.
